the whole outfit for the night

My day off from work was a relaxing one, first up was a 15 minute back massage which was  required after a weekend of  achy shoulder/neck muscles. A bit of retail therapy followed afterwards and bought a few things for myself and the mister. I still can't decide what to get my person at work for secret santa...

granny squares & shopping

It's about time to do something about my crochet projects and I thought to share about my first 'granny square' that I have made. To my surprise it's quite easy after a few youtube videos and written instructions found in a magazine that I seem to have grown an interest in.It has given me some new stash to play about with and be a little bit more creative with my mini projects which should help me create something for myself.

Final piece put together

Shopping has always been something I absolutely love doing when I have time but it's more enjoyable with friends. I met up with one today who is a fashionista who keeps telling me that I should buy this and that... I keep saying to myself I won't wear them. All I do is go to work and home. No time to go out to play or to chill. I seen so much that I just wanted to buy but I don't like the prices. Which leads me onto the following story about today.

I bought a pair of boots today. The original price was £36.99... My friend had a 25% friends and family voucher.. I thought cool so I would get roughly £10 off which is still a good price to pay. I went up to the till handed over the voucher so that I would get the discount on the boots. The sales assistant then told me how much it was. I inserted my card into the card reader to pay and thought maybe I heard the amount wrong. The amount showed up before I had to enter my pin number and thought, thats wrong... I wasn't going to question it and carried on with the transaction. The sales assistant handed over my goods and I walked out and said to my friend, I just been charged £13.86 for my boots. She was like REEEAALLY?! I answered I yes but lets check that once we get out of the store. I checked, yes it was correct. I thought the sales entered a wrong promotion code and gave me a 50% discount and a further 25%.  Nope, the sales assistant was right as i remembered from the store's app on my phone had such promotion going on.

I still have my £15 giftcard to use at a jewellers too... I think I will go back and treat myself as thats what this season is all about.. I have done my part to treat others as I posted the gifts today.
